Lieutenant Dan is a 7 to 8-year-old Great Dane and weighs 110 pounds. He is a sweet and affectionate senior dog who is on the hunt for a cozy retirement home where he can peacefully spend his golden years. Despite being a senior, this pooch has a gentle and carefree nature that will melt your heart.

He was found with another Dane who already got adopted.  Lieutenant Dan came to rescue with a very large tumor.  Surgery was done and thankfully the tumor was benign.  He is all healed up and ready to go to a new home.

Lieutenant Dan enjoys lazy afternoons spent lounging on the couch, soaking up all the love and affection he can get. He may have a few more gray hairs than your average pup, but Lieutenant Dan's love and appreciation for his human friends are as vibrant as ever.

If you would like to meet him, please fill out an application from the Surry Animal Rescue website.

Bonded Pair looking for a new home, located in Lakewood Ranch, Florida.

Hi there! Our names are Zeus (8) and Luna (11). We are a bonded pair of pups searching for their loving forever home!

Unfortunately, due to unforeseen human health issues, our parents no longer let us inside the house and are not able to care for us. It is too hot so our amazing neighbor, Kelli, took us in.

We are very healthy though and have a few years left in us!

We're both incredibly sweet and gentle, with a special love for children. We don't cause any trouble, and enjoy a good walk as much as a relaxing cuddle on our dog beds or a cool tile floor on a hot day. We’re both very healthy and have a few years left in us.

We're currently being cared for by a wonderful foster family who showers us with love, but our hearts yearn for a permanent place to call home. We cannot stay here much longer, and we would suffer in a shelter.

If you have space in your home and your heart, please consider adopting us. We are two loyal, well-behaved canine companions, please reach out directly! We'd be thrilled to meet you and become part of your family.

Located in Lakewood Ranch, Florida.
Please contact Kelli directly at 303.944.8354 for more information. (These are not with our rescue.)
