Lieutenant Dan is a 7 to 8-year-old Great Dane and weighs 110 pounds. He is a sweet and affectionate senior dog who is on the hunt for a cozy retirement home where he can peacefully spend his golden years. Despite being a senior, this pooch has a gentle and carefree nature that will melt your heart.

He was found with another Dane who already got adopted.  Lieutenant Dan came to rescue with a very large tumor.  Surgery was done and thankfully the tumor was benign.  He is all healed up and ready to go to a new home.

Lieutenant Dan enjoys lazy afternoons spent lounging on the couch, soaking up all the love and affection he can get. He may have a few more gray hairs than your average pup, but Lieutenant Dan's love and appreciation for his human friends are as vibrant as ever.

If you would like to meet him, please fill out an application from the Surry Animal Rescue website.
